If there is such a thing as a central thread running all the way through the
long success story of this family business, then it is the enthusiasm for
creating technical solutions in the name of advancing precision. It has always
been this way, as far back as the great-great-grandfather of today’s managing director who laid the cornerstone for the company with unusual
locksmithing ideas in 1870. He concentrated on the development and production
of decimal scales for use in farming, trade and industry. Up until the mid-50’s in the last century hundreds of FRICKE scales were manufactured in Rehme near
the Weser River and sold across the entire region.
With the beginning of the 60’s and the company now in the hands of the fourth generation, came the
introduction of scales for bulk goods and a novelty on the market: the sack
filling scale for solid combustibles designed by Werner Fricke and presented
for the very first time at the Industry Trade Fair in Hanover in 1965. In the
following years 650 of these machines alone were sold nationwide.
Precision calibrated weighing technology and a high degree of reproducibility
still belong to the indispensable FRICKE quality criteria today – even though the degree of automation has continually increased and the products
processed by our customers have required an ever increasing degree of weighing
precision. This was already the case at of the end of the 60’s with the paints and lacquers that were filled using FRICKE technology, and
still more for the perfume and aroma substances, whose even more precise
mixtures have been achieved with the aid of FRICKE dosing systems since the 80’s.
Right up until today FRICKE Abfülltechnik has grown to be one of the most successful companies in its industrial
sector. FRICKE stands for innovation and an extraordinary standard of quality
all around the world.
