Together with BASF’s Coatings Division, we have developed the innovative features of the first "Lean Lab". The future-oriented plant concept of FRICKE is a novelty in the coatings industry.
One of the special requirements of BASF’s laboratory is accurate dosing with simultaneous stirring of the dispensed raw materials. Therefore, our system has a dosing container with stirrer. The integrated camera technology allows a constant visual control of the stirring process. More than 300 liquid raw materials can be reliably identified and dosed via barcode scanning.
Another special feature is the individually configurable cleaning of the valves during dosing operations.
Manual weighing instruments are a high priority in the modular development lab for automotive OEM coatings. Accordingly, the FRICKE MDS software ensures reliable digital capture and reproducible formulas.
The first "Lean Lab" at BASF's Muenster site will be opened with an official ceremony.
In addition to Dirk Bremm, Head of the Coatings Division, and project manager Lean Lab, Susanne Richert, political representatives at local and state level are among the invited guests.
Karl-Josef Laumann, Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the mayor of the city of Muenster, Wendela-Beate Vilhjalmsson, emphasize the special significance of the "Lean Lab" in their speeches.
